Description

Savona Specialty Plywood, Lillooet Division is a producer of high quality veneers for our specialty plywood operation. We have an immediate Full Time opening for a Maintenance Administrator.

The position is Monday to Friday with a wage of $27 / hour depending on experience.

The preferred candidate will have office experience; however we will train as well. Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy while maintaining a steady work pace is essential. They will have excellent communication and organizational skills and possess the ability to work both independently and within a team environment. Strong computer skills are required.

Responsibilities:

The duties of the position includes but is not limited to the following;

Perform clerical and physical auditing functions for the department including:

-Typing technical and non-technical materials using current spreadsheet and word processing computer applications,

-Arranging meetings if requested with vendors and suppliers.

-Working with vendors and negotiating best pricing for supplies and components.

-Maintaining departmental supply levels,

-Being a team player using organization skills to achieve paperwork accuracy and timeliness.

-Dispatch time sensitive emergency work in a busy maintenance department.

-Maintain a computer database (CMMS) for equipment that are on a preventative maintenance schedule.

-Organize current inventories and critical spare inventories.

-Monitor and follow through on daily changes to ensure proper/timely disposition of inventory on open work orders.

-Verify accuracy of packing slips, process receipts, and apply needed material to appropriate assets and destinations.

-Ensure accurate communication between maintenance mechanics, electricians and parts ordering system.

-Assist in evaluating requests for repairs and maintenance and emergency work orders.

-Perform monthly inventory checks.

-Compile and print daily paperwork and distribute to Senior Staff and Management as requested.

-Auditing of monthly mobile equipment hours and service schedules.

-Associated tasks to be further developed.

Experience Preferred:
- Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a related role
- Knowledge of CMMS systems and procedures
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work

- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
