Applications are now being accepted for the above C.U.P.E. union position.
Nature and Scope of Work
Performs seasonal janitorial and event preparation functions in facility; performs ice resurfacing operations in arena season; monitors building's physical plant; carries out general maintenance as required; assists public in their use of facilities; performs other duties as required.
Required Abilities and Skills
Ability to carry out oral and written instructions and maintain preventative maintenance and service records; knowledge of standard methods and equipment used in building maintenance; must be capable of carrying out duties without direct supervision; must have sufficient strength and agility to perform required duties; proven ability to communicate and work effectively with co-workers and public.
Required Training and Experience
High School Diploma. Completion of a Building Service Maintenance course and a Refrigeration Operator's course is preferred. A minimum of six (6) months job related experience operating ice resurfacing equipment or building maintenance is preferred.

Wages as per CUPE Collective Agreement, Local 173
