Position Status: Permanent Part-time (21 hours per week)
Job Summary
The role of the Accounts Payable Clerk performs accounting and clerical tasks to ensure the accounts
payable (AP) are managed in a timely, accurate, and transparent manner. This position reports to the LTC
Bookkeeper.
Key Responsibilities
• Sorts and prioritizes invoices received on a daily basis
• Verifies transactions against current financial policies and procedures and ensure appropriate
authorizations are obtained for payment processing as set out by signing authority guidelines
• Research and resolve invoicing discrepancies with suppliers and vendors.
• Complete and submit government documents such as tax remittances, workers’ compensation,
pension contributions, and ensure payments are made before deadlines.
• Prepare monthly GL reports.
• Ensure all LTC credit cards are reconciled monthly by the holder’s/users.
Education and Experience
• Completion of an Accounting Diploma or Completion of Grade 12, plus minimum of 2 years of
related work experience (preferably in a non-profit environment), or an equivalent combination
of education, training and experience
• Proficient understanding of computerized accounting systems (i.e. SAGE ACCPAC).
• Knowledge of accounting as it relates to AP
• EFT payment experience an asset
Compensation:
This position is part time with possible to full-time position and a wage range of $24.00 - $28.00
per hour.
