Lillooet Contracting Ltd. is hiring a full-time plumber to join their team.
The preferred candidate has a plumbing license and at least 2 years of experience. The wage is $30-44.46/hour depending on skills and qualifications. Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
Lillooet Contracting Ltd is a small, family oriented general construction company. Located in Lillooet we focus on team work and a collaborative approach. We are looking to invest in an employee interested in progressing their plumbing career with long term employment.
We are looking for someone who is detail oriented, self-motivated, punctual with good communication both in the office and with our customers. The ideal candidate must be a 3rd year apprentice or better (Journeyman/Journeywoman plumber). Competitive wage depending on certification and experience and dental and medical benefits after probationary period is over.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Be able to work on plumbing systems for residential building; commercial buildings is an asset
- Drainage, waste and venting
- Waterlines
- Fixture installations
- Able to read blueprints/mechanical specifications
- Familiar with rigid tools – snakes/fox crimpers/threaders
- Replacing hot water tanks, ext hose bibs
Qualifications
- Possess a class 5 driver’s license
- Able to pass a criminal record check
- Journeyman/Journeywoman Plumber certificate or apprenticeship from a recognized training authority
