Position: Climate Wildfire Resilience Technician
Location: Lillooet Tribal Council Office
Reports To: Emergency Management Coordinator Term: Full-Time, Permanent
Job Summary
The Climate Wildfire Resilience Technician is a full-time, permanent position and is responsible for developing, implementing, and coordinating comprehensive fire safety training programs and response plans in collaboration with participating First Nations communities and local governments. Also, Community Engagement & Coordination, facilitate and lead workshops, hands-on training sessions.

Key Responsibilities:
· Program Development & Implementation: Design and deliver wildfire training programs
· Community Engagement & Coordination
· Research & Funding: Identify and research funding grants
· Monitoring & Evaluation: Track the effectiveness of training programs
Qualifications/ Experience include: (see job descriptions for more details).
· Post-secondary education in Emergency Management, Environmental Studies, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
· Strong knowledge of Fire Smart principles, wildfire risk assessment, and emergency response protocols.
· Must have at least two years’ experience working in education or a related field.
· Knowledge and understanding of St’át’imc culture and a proven ability to work with Aboriginal people.
· Excellent writing and communication skills and a good understanding of financial management.
· Strong organizational and problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

COMPENSATION
This position is full time includes a comprehensive benefit package and a wage range of $30.00 - $35.00 per hour.
