Survivor of Violence Counselling
The Survivors of Violence Counselling Program through Nicola Family Therapy is designed to provide counselling support and assistance to clients (women and men) of the Employment Program of British Columbia who are survivors of violence and abuse. Violence and abuse can be defined as physical, emotional, verbal, psychological and/or sexual abuse and may be applied through threats, intimidation, manipulative control or physical contact.
We Can Help
Clients receive counselling services with a Registered Clinical Counsellor and are provided tools and strategies to deal with the impacts of abuse to assist in preparing them to return to work.
To take part in these pre-employment services, you must be eligible to work in BC, believe that the issues resulting from recent or historical violence and abuse are directly impacting your employment success, and have some level of paid or volunteer employment as your goal. If this fits for you, please contact us.
